Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced he is hosting a seminar in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Mandalay Bay to help Nevada municipalities, businesses and organizations take advantage of the funds available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Reid’s announcement is in conjunction with the release of his resource guide to the economic recovery package which is available on his website.
“The resource guide we assembled for organizations in our state was a good first step. Now we want to make sure that Nevada gets what is needed from the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act,” Reid said. “We secured the formula funding for state services, transportation improvements and healthcare. We want to make sure that Nevada has a shot at competitive grants, especially those for research and renewable energy projects.”
