9 carat gold means there is 9/24 = about 37% gold which means there is 63% other base metal in such jewelery. 24 carats gold is 100% gold.
Let’s say a 9 carat bracelet weighs 100g it will contain about 37 grams of gold.

Silver content can vary over a wide range depending on the colour of the gold alloy. 30-60% is typical for the normal shades of yellow gold, but the percentage can be as much as 62% for colorless gold or as small as 7.5% for red gold.
The gold content is 37.5% in all cases of 9ct gold since 9 ct corresponds to a fraction of 9/24 (24ct is pure gold).
9ct gold for example must contain 375 parts per thousand of pure gold, while 18ct gold must contain 750 parts per thousand. For an item to be described as ‘Sterling Silver’ it must contain 925 parts per thousand of silver, while platinum, the purest of the three, most commonly contains 950 per thousand of platinum. There are six commonly used ‘finenesses’ of gold in the UK, four finenesses of silver and four of platinum.
