jamesthecanadian March 24, 2011 at 9:30 am: Titanium is not worth as much as platinum. It is much more common in the earth’s crust as positively common minerals such as rutile and illmenite (occurs in weight % abundances in the rock). Platinum though occurs only in very unusual environments and in low ammounts (occurs in parts per million – or grams/ton in the rock), and so it is “worther”.
